A group of Canadians dedicated to peace and a permanent end to the Israeli war on Gaza is calling on the world to express solidarity with Palestinians by fasting for one day during the holy month of Ramadan, Tuesday March 12.
"I am not religious, but fasting for one day in solidarity with Palestinians is the right thing to do," said Fast4Palestine spokesperson Dimitri Lascaris. “Palestinians are the longest-occupied people on planet Earth.”
“The tragic irony is that their occupier, the state of Israel, receives unconditional political and military support from Canada, the US, and Europe," added Lascaris, a Montréal lawyer.
