    The new requirements for Canadian Citizenship are now in force as of June 11, 2015. One of the most important changes is the requirement that an individual be in Canada for 4 years over a 6-year period. The old rule was physical presence in Canada for 3 years out of a 4-year period.

Ivan Rand who was a retired Canadian Supreme Court Justice played a critical role in getting the United Nations Special Committee on Palestine (UNSCOP) to recommend partition into a "Jewish State" and an "Arab State" over a unified Palestine. A unitary Palestine would have approximately one third Jewish population and two-thirds Arab population and based on the actual demographics of the country.
