Why 9/11 Truth Still Matters

At the 9/11 Truth Film Festival entitled Why 9/11 Truth Still Matters, at the Grand Lake Theatre in Oakland, on Monday September 11, 2017 Ken Jenkins's film "Why revisit 9/11" notes that our world has changed since 9/11.

In screen-shots at the beginning of the film, he gives some examples that should be of concern to everyone, anywhere in the world, who lives or strives to live in a society characterized as a “liberal democracy”, with America a beacon of the world's liberal democracies:

“One million lives lost in Iraq and Afghanistan and counting; 6,000 US troops lost in the “War on Terror” and counting; $4.5 trillion cost to the US taxpayer; precious civil liberties removed by the Patriot Act:

Today Americans can be subject to search and seizure without a warrant; detained or imprisoned indefinitely, without charge, without evidence, without a lawyer, without a trial; even tortured or assassinated, merely for being accused of being associated with terrorism.”

In an excerpt from the Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth film “Explosive Evidence” General Wesley Clark says that 10 days after 9/11 there was a plan in place to invade seven countries in the Middle East: Iraq, Iran, Syria, Lebanon, Somalia, Libya and Sudan.

Referring to General Clarke’s statement, Dr. Kevin Barrett noted that these are all Muslim majority countries.

At that time, they were all independent countries in the sense that they were not U.S. client states; and they all supported the Palestinian struggle against occupation. Dr. Barrett said this made them targets of U.S. policy.

“That had a whole lot to do with the reason these countries were targeted for destruction and 9/11 was orchestrated to enable that destruction.”

In the film “Stand for the Truth: A Government Researcher Speaks Out”, produced by Ted Walters for Architects and Engineers for 9/11 Truth, Peter Michael Ketchum, an engineer who worked for NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) – the organization which investigated the collapse of three World Trade Center buildings on 9/11 -  said all three buildings collapsed symmetrically.

“This is an indication of order. It's very difficult to get a building to collapse symmetrically ... Asymmetric damage does not mean a symmetric collapse.”

Referring to the collapse of World Trade Center 7 (WTC7) building in the late afternoon of 9/11, Mr. Ketchum said there is a lot of evidence that it collapsed due to controlled demolition.

“On the video you can see a wave of explosive demolition travelling down the building as it collapses. Huge chunks of steel perimeter beams flying hundreds of feet off to the side of the tower; steel does not fly off to the side hundreds of feet due to gravity. Gravity works vertically, not laterally. There has to be a force for it pushing to the side, otherwise it would just fall down to the ground. Gravity doesn't fly off to the side if falls to the ground.”

Although he was referring specifically to the collapse of WTC building 7, the same observations can be made watching the collapse of WTC 1 and WTC 2.

Mr. Ketchum noted that WTC 7 wasn't hit by a plane. The official explanation given for its collapse is a series of office fires: fires Mr. Ketchum characterizes as “novice fires”.

He said WTC 7 was a building that was heavily built; and there was no reason for it to come down, or believable to think an entire building could collapse down on itself, symmetrically into its own footprint, with nothing left but bits of dust.

“That's not plausible; that's not reasonable.”

He explained that even if the top of the building had become unstable due to the weakening of columns, the entire building would not collapse symmetrically.

“If the top of the building became unstable due to the weakening of columns, one would reasonably expect the top of the building to start to lean; to start to creak. Connections start to break and the top of the building would simply fall off to the side and come crashing down on the buildings next door and the rest of the tower would remain. Instead we saw something quite different.

It is not reasonable to think that the weakening of some columns near the impact zone could somehow lead to an entire building collapsing down on itself symmetrically, into its own footprint, with nothing left but bits of dust.”

He added that the rubble that was left was not big pieces of steel, big chunks of cement:  it was fine particles.

WTC 7 is the only skyscraper that has suffered total collapse due to fire in 100 years of skyscraper construction worldwide. NIST admitted that it fell at the speed of gravity, yet the NIST official explanation for the collapse is “a series of office fires.”

World Trade Center 7 building contained the offices of Enron and World Comm, which were under investigation by the SEC in the two largest securities scandals at the time.

Enron helped bankroll the Bush-Cheney run for the White House with over $2 million it stole from its investors. George Bush and Dick Cheney used their elected offices to deregulate the oil and gas industry in Enron's favour, starting as governor of Texas and then moving to the White House. Everything needed to prosecute those crimes was destroyed when WTC 7 crashed.

In a film called “Calling Out Bravo 7: Firefighters' Perspectives of High-Rise Fires and 9/11”, the narrator cites a long list of high-rise fires that burned for many hours without falling or damaging the structures, adding that Firefighters had no reason to expect the World Trade Center buildings would collapse.

Subsequently, in Jeremy Rise's film “9/11 Inside Out: An Expert's Guide to the 9/11 Conspiracy”, the narrator asks how the plane that hit the Pentagon was able to fly through miles of restricted airspace to strike the most protected building on earth an hour and a half after the first reported hijack.

He then shows a film clip of Bush administration Transportation Secretary Norman Pineta testifying to a U.S. Congressional committee that Vice President Dick Cheney had an active stand down order on flight 77. This stand down order enabled the attack on the Pentagon, which could otherwise never have happened.

The film's narrator also said the plane crashed into a wing of the Pentagon which contained offices of Resource Services Washington, the day after Donald Rumsfeld announced that $2.4 trillion had gone missing or stolen from the Pentagon budget.

Mr. Rise noted in his film that during the morning of 9/11, five US sponsored war games were taking place, which paralyzed the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration), NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) and the Air Force.

In the James Corbett film “9/11 Suspects”, General Ralph Eberhart, commander in chief of the NORAD blamed the FAA for the fact that according to the official story on 9/11, four airlines flew off course for 109 minutes without being intercepted by a single fighter jet. Mr. Corbett said NORAD has the responsibility to deal with errant planes itself: not wait for the FAA and; in fact, in the year 2000 alone, NORAD sent jets to intercept planes that strayed off course 109 times.

After stalling for 441 days after 9/11, President Bush finally established the 9/11 Commission to investigate the events of September 11. Mr. Corbett said President Bush then asked Senate Majority leader Tom Daschal to limit Congress's investigation.

Philip Zelikow, whom President Bush appointed as Executive Director of the 9/11 Commission Inquiry in January 2003, was a consummate Bush administration insider. In 1995, Mr. Zelikow co-authored a book with Bush Administration National Security Adviser Condoleezza Rice entitled Germany Unified and Europe Transformed.

Eerily, Mr. Zelikow had also written about 9/11 and its eventual aftermath in a 1998 article entitled Catastrophic Terrorism: Tackling the New Danger, written for the Council on Foreign Relations. In the article, Mr. Zelikow asked the readers to imagine an act of catastrophic terrorism like the destruction of the World Trade Center.

“The United States might respond with draconian measures scaling back civil liberties, allowing wider surveillance of citizens, detention of suspects and use of deadly force.”

In his film, “9/11 Suspects”, Mr. Corbett is calling for a thorough investigation of Philip Zelikow.
